QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Guttenberg Industries, Inc. is an ISO9001:2000 certified manufacturer of quality parts.  We are capable of verifying and maintaining our customer's product requirements using state-of-the-art equipment, our team approach of Internal Design/Product Reviews and by utilizing the customer's choice of several Quality and Manufacturing Systems. Some of the systems requirements we are familiar with and utilize include, SPC/SQA, ANSI/ASQC Z1.4-1003, QS9000 and AIGA. Along with measurements made by the Quality Assurance Department, our Supervisors, Set-up Technicians and Machine Operators are trained to measure parts during the production process and to log this information for tracking and review.  We automatically inspect each part according to the Society of Plastics Industry's requirements for Cosmetic Specifications of Injection Molded Parts.  If the customer needs any assistance defining these specifications, we work with them to decide what Grade and Surface Requirement inspection is desired according to the function of each part.

Some of the equipment that we have available to verify part specifications include: Micro Vu-automated Vision Measuring Machine(s), Granite Surface Plates, Height gages, Calipers, Micrometers with RS232 output, Depth Micrometers, Force gages, Telescoping gages, Moisture analyzers, Dew Point Meters, Gage Pin Set (minus), Spectrophotometer and various other supporting devices used during measurements.

During the sampling of new parts and revisions we work closely with the Engineering Department to perform 1st Article Inspections, Layouts, Capability Studies, and all other documentation for the appropriate Level of PPAP, Part Submission Certificate, and/or Part Submission Warrant that our customer's desire.  Our Quality Assurance Department can either supply these forms or we can work with what the customer supplies.
